Read and do all problems in this powerpoint.  It is all review from your first year of chemistry.  You may have forgotten some of the stuff so take your time and make sure you are familiar with all the material here.

Know: Density can be used as a conversion factor!!! Use it to convert from mass to volume.

           Densite = g/cm cubed

           1 cm cubed = 1 ml

           1 g = 1 ml

           1 g = 1 cm cubed

Math Review

Many of the assignments in this course require certain math skills. Although these skills will be covered to some degree in lecture, the following review sheets are provided for your benefit. These materials contain detailed explanations of concepts as well as practice problems. You are strongly encouraged to examine these worksheets.

Unit: The Chemical World
